When Jack Russo brings home a mysterious little girl named Caroline, his daughters Adelaide and Abigail suffer terrifying nightly occurrences and realize that something evil may have followed her.
"Where Demons Dwell: The Girl in the Cornfield 2" is a direct followup to the first Girl in the Cornfield movie, starring Madeline Lupi, Michelle Lulic, Sami Bray, Hiram Ortiz and Alex Santoleri. The score was produced by the very talented industrial duo Pig7.
This project is a personal favorite of mine (Ryan) for a number of reasons. I think it's a perfect continuation of the first story and it has some of my favorite scares. But even beyond that the fact that we were able to finish it is a testament to the dedication of the amazing cast and a few great parents.
We started filming in June of 2016 and ended up recasting the Russo Family entirely. Hiram Ortiz and Michelle Lulic were both the third actors to portray their characters (Jack and Adelaide) and Lexi was the second Abigail. Mind you the recasting also led to reshooting. And quite a bit of it. There was one day where after deciding not to move forward with the final actor to leave, I was at a loss for a good half hour. I knew I had to get the film done, but wasn't sure how it was going to happen. But thanks to Amy, Lexi's mom Toni, Sami Bray(Caroline)'s mother Dana, and the cast we were able to figure it all out and produce the labor of love that "Where Demons Dwell" turned out to be.
